In case any of you were wondering, I did not get into the crapometer this round. There were 500 entries and 100 were chosen by a random number generator. I might have the guts to post submit my begininning to Evil Editor, but I'm just not sure it's helpful because he only looks at the first 100 words. Unless I set someone on fire in the first paragraph, I don't know how I'd make a great impression in that short a space, but we'll see. ;)
It's probably the best outcome, anyway, since I'm learning a lot by reading all of the entries over on Miss Snark's blog, without actually being snarked myself!
