The Countdown

To answer a question from the comment trail, the official Countdown to Leaving Corporate America is D - 7!!!

After today I have only 7 working days left. WOO!

Oh wow! I remember the countdown. My work days got shorter and shorter and my lunch hour longer and longer. Because eventually you wrap up what you have on your plate and there isn't anything new coming in.

How exciting for you!

Then the first day of freedom, when you wake up and realize you don't have to go...priceless. :)
