GIGI!!! I took the hint that she was ready for solids when she tried latching on to my chocolate chip cookie today. I think that's probably discouraged as a first food, so I dutifully pried it out of her mouth and mixed up some rice cereal. No spoon confusion here, she downed the whole feeding! (No skinny babies here, either, for that matter).
Do I have pictures? No. She's the second baby and I'm the typical mom of a second baby. I need one more arm to hold the camera!

Go Gigi! ;) For the second and third kid, I took pictures of the older kids feeding the baby the first bites (or second, or third, who's counting?) of cereal. It's a bit messy, but the pictures are priceless!
OK, I got some pictures of the *second* feeding. But who's counting?! ;)
Who is counting? NO ONE! Label it "Gigi's first food" and in a year even you won't remember. LOL. Now...cough 'em up! :)

Jen - that is a fantastic idea. Too bad I didn't think of it oh, 2 and a half ish years ago. I'm thinking the recreation of that moment today wouldn't have quite the same effect!
Oh, just try it, HB. Cram Gem into a high chair and put a hat on her. When you're 90, even you will think it was her first bite! (And be sure to share those pics with me, please. LOL!)
